Installing a theme on Ghost takes two minutes and needs no code. Here is the whole process.
1. Upload the zip
In Ghost Admin, open Settings → Design & branding → Change theme, click Upload theme and select the zip you downloaded. Do not unzip it first.
2. Activate it
Once uploaded, click Activate. Your site uses the new design immediately; your posts, pages and members are untouched.
3. Import the demo (optional)
To start from a site that already looks finished, import the demo file in Settings → Advanced → Import/Export. Do it on a fresh site: importing over existing content creates duplicates.
The settings people forget
Theme settings are not part of an import. Open Design & branding → Customize and check each section of the homepage, then set your navigation in Settings → Navigation.
